Brittany D. Summers Appointed Foundation Development Officer

Brittany D. Summers has been appointed Development Officer for the Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation, Inc., it was announced today by Executive Vice President William P. Bernier, CAE.

"We are excited about the talent, energy and professionalism that Brittany brings to this new Foundation position", said Bernier.

As Development Officer, Brittany will assist chapter alumni associations and conduct the Foundation's annual appeal campaign. She will also maintain the Sigma Tau Gamma website, assist with the publication of the SAGA and assist with meeting planning.

Brittany is a 2004 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Public Relations. At USC, Brittany was an active member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Brittany lives in Knob Noster, Missouri, where her husband Kevin is an Air Force officer at Whiteman AFB.

Brittany brings to her new position successful fund raising experience. Prior to joining the Sigma Tau Gamma staff she was a commercial sponsorship coordinator at Vance Air Force Base. In that position she raised private funds to support community events for base personnel and their families. She also organized and coordinated events for 25 to more than 2000 people.

Brittany joined the Sigma Tau Gamma staff in November as an administrative professional. Her responsibilities in that position included the website and the SAGA, both of which she will continue in her new position. She also performed database research and fund raising mailing functions, which she will continue to manage with the support of a part time administrative professional.
