The W. T. Hembree Guild is an honorary society of brothers, spouses and friends of Sigma Tau Gamma who make a planned estate gift to the Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation. Typically, our Hembree Guild brothers arrange for a gift to be made through their will, either as a specific amount or a percentage of all or a portion of their estate. Some find that a charitable remainder trust or charitable lead trust is a preferred approach for their estate planning.

The W. T. Hembree Guild is named for Bill Hembree, 12th National President of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity and a past president of the Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation who chaired the first Foundation fund raising campaign. Bill led the way by making the first major gift to the Foundation and by planning his own deferred estate gift to the Foundation. Importantly, Bill's wife Connie was and is a partner in his current and planned gifts to the Foundation. Bill is a retired Sprint Corp., executive. His career success has been extraordinary but not rare, especially among Sigma Tau Gamma brothers. Many Sigma Tau Gamma brothers are equally successful. A desire to help and a vision of how you want to help are more important that legendary wealth.

Your planned gift to the Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation is an investment in the lives of the young men we call brothers. Your investment may be restricted to members of your own college chapter or more broadly invested in members of any chapter. Your gift may help members pursue academic goals, through an academic scholarship or help build leadership skills through instructional program grants. The criteria for selecting recipients is up to you.
