How will my donation be used to strengthen the leadership of our members and of our chapters?

Specific activities to help grow our leaders include:
  • Membership Recruitment workshops delivered by professional trainers.
    - Workshops by region for 5 years ($125,000)
  • Leadership grants for individual members to attend regional/national meetings via Heritage Funds
    - Two brothers per chapter x 60 chapters x $100 grant = $60,000 (5 years)
  • Provide increased funding for chapter presidents to attend the “Webb Academy”
    - 60 presidents x $200 for travel - $60,000 (5 years)

Who Will Manage the Proceeds?

The Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation Inc., an educational foundation qualified under IRS section 501 (c) 3, operating since 1966 and governed by an elected board of 18 alumni donors who will oversee the collection, investment, and distribution of donated funds.  Gifts to your Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation are tax deductible.

What is the Involvement of my Chapter’s Alumni Association?

If your chapter has an active alumni association, Foundation policy facilitates the active involvement of its officers with the direction of scholarships and grants.  If your chapter does not have an active alumni association, a committee of dedicated Foundation Trustees will direct scholarships and grants for your chapter.  If your college chapter is not active, your gifts may support undergraduate leadership development in chapters with the greatest need.  Your Foundation trustees are committed to the support and development of active alumni associations.  Please contact our Sigma Tau Gamma headquarters to access guidance and support.
