May 22, 2012 - We’re a little over two months away from the 45th Grand Chapter in Washington D.C. This may seem like a long ways away, but it is not too early to start planning. If you don’t know where to start, follow our four steps to help with registration, accommodations and questions to ask prior to your trip. As we get closer to Grand Chapter starting August 2, keep a look out for “How To Tuesday” blogs for current information, tips on what to bring, the agenda and more!

1. First thing is first—Register for the 45th Grand Chapter!
On the 45th Grand Chapter page on the Sig Tau website, you will find the registration page. When applying, make note of the registration rates and whether you are qualified for the discount rate of $59 ($299 value). If so, call the headquarters for the secret discount code.

-Alumnus: $299

-Guest of alumnus: $199

-Children: Special pricing available

-Collegiate member (ALL 2011-2012 chapter bills paid): $59

-Collegiate member (2011-2012 chapters bills not paid): $299

You have until July 8 to register your spot at the 45th Grand Chapter. Registrations are accepted after July 8 but will have a $25 penalty fee.

2. Book Your Hotel
Make your reservations now at the Doubletree Hotel Crystal City in Arlington, VA by calling 703-416-4100 and ask for the Sig Tau room rate of $120. Space is first come first serve.

3. Plan your travel arrangements
Travel is not included with the registration fee. Coordinate and book your travel arrangements with your chapter well in advance. If you are flying or taking a train, arrange transportation to the hotel. A discount has been arranged with SuperShuttle for your convenience.  Our discount code is NXDYR.  You can make your reservation and obtain your discount by calling 1 800-BLUE (258-3826) or by visiting the SuperShuttle website.

4. Check in with your chapter
Even though summer is out, check in with your chapter and their process with the 45th Grand Chapter. Ask four questions before the July 8 deadline:

1. How many brothers are representing our chapter? Undergraduates and Alumni?

2. Have we caught up with our dues so we qualify for the $59 registration?

3. Has my chapter turned in all of their paperwork?

4. Has my chapter turned in their award applications?

All members of the Fraternity are encouraged to attend! Call 660-747-2222 with questions.
